A GIFT FOREVER!

This is one of my favorite books I have ever written. The first edition was THE CHRISTMAS of 1957!  Then it was reissued with Whimsical Publications and titled A CHRISTMAS GIFT! I self-published it again so I could have more control over the pricing. The wonderful cover designer said that A GIFT FOREVER was the best title. I revised and added some text to this last edition. Some of the story is based on my life, so it is considered creative nonfiction!

It is a wonderful story to read during the Christmas season or can be read year-round. If you haven't read it, I hope you will.

BLURB:

Justin Reeves is a man who has it all: a good job, a loving wife and children who are the center of his universe. Justin also has a secret he's hidden from everyone his entire life. Quite innocently his small daughter, Debby, stumbles upon his secret and is shocked by what she finds. She confronts her father with the awful truth. Justin is touched by her concern and offer of help. His own mother never cared about him.

Throughout the story, Debby is warm-hearted, yet a bit mischievous. She's also honest and sincere. Debby's father's determination to overcome a challenge is inspiring, but the story also involves the entire Reeves family. Debby’s oldest sister, Gail has a second chance at love, but will she take it? Does Carl possess the conviction to change the course of his life? Will Kathy overcome the handicap of polio?

Justin and Debby together embark upon a journey which takes him from the darkness of shame into the light of victory. When he finally accomplishes what he wanted his whole life, Justin reaches out to his family in a special way on Christmas Day. His gift to his wife, three daughters and son impacts them all for a lifetime.

Drawing from true events in her own childhood, author Diane Craver captivates the reader from page one to a stunning climax which will touch your heart and effect your life forever in this must-read story of love's triumph over adversity.

“...truly an inspiring story for readers, young and old alike.” ~~Coffee Time Romance

“A wonderful story that will really touch your heart. I highly recommend it.” ~~Seriouslyreviewed.blogspot.com

I had forgotten about there being a national author's day! Lisa and Carol posted it on Facebook and tagged me! I told my hubby this afternoon about what today is and he said, "That's why I took you out to breakfast this morning. We went to Bob Evan's and my french toast with the apple topping was delicious!
