To celebrate my 73rd birthday, I went to Florida with daughters April and Christina! The funny thing is we stayed at a hotel on Treasure Island and realized that we were close to where we went two years ago. The previous time we were at Maderia Beach. That time April and Emily went with me. I enjoyed being on the beach again and we were fortunate to only have one rainy day. On Saturday, there was a wonderful festival with sand sculptures featuring nursery rhymes. There were vendors and food trucks. That night we enjoyed watching fireworks from our hotel balcony. It was stressful on Tuesday getting on a flight home to Cincinnati with many travelers going places for Thanksgiving.

What are the chances that accidentally knocking over someone' s trash cans on a dark street would lead to a new lease on life?
Moving to Chestnut Crossings is Lucy Carrington‘ s only chance to live her Christian beliefs free from ridicule. But when she runs over the church trash cans, her new beginning gets off to a rocky start. Thankfully, the pastor is as forgiving as he is handsome. Pastor Jim Sullivan is impressed by Lucy. She's a woman of her word and doesn't seem to take the easy way out. But when he offers her a job, he soon discovers her quirks---she's always late, embraces as a blessing something he views as a curse, and is hiding something about her past...not that Jim should judge. He has issues of his own he'd like to keep hidden. When Pastor Jim asks Lucy to sing at the Christmas pageant, she's faced with a difficult and emotional decision. Will singing free her heart from painful family memories... and inspire Jim to forgive himself, too? In Light a Christmas Candle, discover a holiday season filled with challenges, forgiveness, love and restoration. Sometimes a miracle comes to you at exactly the wrong time… Lindsay is 40 and single when tragedy strikes. Diagnosed with stage 4, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer, her instinct is to right the wrongs in her life. Driven to break free of her alcoholic mother at 17, she fell for Harris. Harris' life was already planned out for him. Falling for Lindsay had been a dream. However, compelled to wed the woman his parents chose for him, he'd left her to endure a shaky marriage. Pregnant with identical triplets, Lindsay adopted two daughters to an Amish couple, the Yoders. In the years that followed, Mrs. Yoder worked hard to keep her away. When you let go of a miracle, can you ever capture it again? Revealing the truth may prove more devastating than the hurdles that came before…and all that will surely come after for a woman fighting for her life. I loved walking with the grandkids in the neighborhood plus with Bart, April and Christina. Kelly passed out the candy at the house.
