Amanda turned 33 on January 8th and Dillon's birthday was on the 9th. He's 11. We celebrated both birthdays on Amanda's last Sunday! It was a fun time with delicious food.

5 stars - Heartfelt and Discovering Family Reviewer - Marilyn Ridgway The Amish Mother’s Secret is a heartfelt and heartbreaking story. Diane Craver intertwined of the English and Amish in her books is beautifully penned once again in this extraordinary tale. My emotions and heart went out to Lindsay Prescott for her present pain as well as the past along with her daughter, Phoebe. Phoebe desire to have a family gave way to more than she ever expected. Once the secret is revealed there is dashing hopes, anger, unexpected discoveries and so much more. The characters are all well developed with a range of personalities, emotions and levels of faith. There were plenty of exciting moments along with individuals releasing their concerns and pain to God. Harris thought gave him the strength to face the future when he knew, “God can bring joy and beauty out of of my mistakes when I release them to Him.” Craver created another story filled with family, faith, healing, forgiveness, new beginnings and romance among several. There’s depth to this story that readers will discover while reading with the author sharing personal information at the end to make this one of the most heartfelt stories I’ve read. I look forward to the next book by Craver. 5 stars - A Book Life Changing Situations Reviewer - Shirley Chapel Of all the books I could have picked to be my first read for 2023 I’m so glad it was this one I chose. I found it to be a beautiful warm hearted emotional book. There is a lot of things happening in this story but it all came together so beautifully at the end. The Author Diane Craver blended into the story a lot of her own experiences she had gone through with the same type of cancer that main character Lindsay Prescott had. I thought the characters were warm and supportive of each other, well except for one of them. I appreciate that the Author is an Ohio writer because I enjoy supporting writers from my own State. I was quickly drawn into this amazing story and it held my attention to the last page. The Amish Mother’s Secret is a story about life’s changing situations, forgiveness and trusting God with your future. The way this book ended I’m thinking there may be more books in this series and I hope I’m right. Readers of Amish Fiction, Christian Fiction , Contemporary Romance and fans of the Author will appreciate this book. I recommend it and it left me with a feeling of contentment after I read the last page. I purchased my own copy so a review was not requested. I gave my honest opinion about the book in the comments I made here in this review.  |
