When I see a Diane Craver book coming out, my heart skips because I know it will be a WINNER and this one did not disappoint.I could not put this down!!! Every time I said one more chapter, I couldn’t stop and I just had to know what was going on! “An Unexpected Gift” is the second book in The Amish Adoption series. Jenna and her husband are trying for a baby. She meets Isabella, who just lost her fiancée in an accident and is pregnant. Isabella is not sure if she should keep her baby or not. I was guessing what would happen until the end! I like how Diane brought back all of the other characters from her first story. There were two secondary stories with Lindsay and Phoebe. They were also wonderful. I can’t wait for the next book to come out! I am guessing that it will focus on Amy, the third sister.

Rosanna's Gift!

I am so glad I read Rosanna's Gift. The characters are well-written. Rosanna Mast is a remarkable and loving young woman. As midwives, Rosanna and her mother Sarah took care of Jane as she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.  Jane (probably not her real name) didn't even name her newborn, so Rosanna named her Mollie. Sarah and Rosanna are shocked when Jane has legal papers with Rosanna listed as the mother. Jane isn't Amish but she wants Mollie to be raised by the single Amish young woman. Rosanna impressed me throughout the book as she took on the responsibility of raising another mother's baby. Rosanna's best friend, Emma, added humor to the story with her efforts to get Rosanna to continue to attend youth get-togethers. Rosanna's romantic interest is Henry Zook and he is unworthy of her. I rooted for Paul Hertzler to become important to Rosanna. He has all the qualities that Henry seems to lack. When the aunt wishes to adopt Mollie, there are funny moments with her attempts to "mother" baby Mollie. Rosanna's faith during her journey as a young mother touched my heart. I highly recommend Rosanna's Gift as an outstanding book to read.
