I had a CT scan on Friday morning. Instead of having it in January for the 3 month check-up, I was happy to wait 4 months. It was changed so scan would be close to my IV infusion. Then my doctor would give results at same time as infusion appointment.
I hate the scans because they have trouble finding a vein and usually the first vein blows when the solution goes through it. It hurts a lot because they are now using the veins in my hands. I never was called before on the same day as scan to hear results, so was a surprise to hear from my oncologist's nurse. He wanted me to know that I'm still in remission. Thankful to God and to all the prayers said for me!
This Wednesday I have the IV infusion. I am thinking of not doing this maintenance therapy for two years, but will for now. The drug rituximab has side effects is one reason.
