YESTERDAY was my LAST IV infusion maintenance therapy!!! Not a great photo to portray my happiness that it is over. I was going to ask nurse Jennifer to take my picture when she came to change the bags of meds for my IV, but she seemed busy today with several other patients. I took it myself obviously.
My type of lymphoma returns, so is the reason why I did the two year maintenance therapy because it should help to extend my remission. I was told that it could return in 2 years, 5 years or 10 years. I'll take the 10. Because my CAT scan was good, they think it will be a longer time.
I am thankful that God was with me and for all my friends and relatives praying for me since 2019 and before when I had abdominal pain from an enlarged spleen for a couple of years before being diagnosed with cancer. They think now the cancer was caused by my enlarged spleen
UPDATE about submitted book to agent:
Lesley submitted my Amish book to Entangled Publishing but the Amish editor is out on maternity leave until Sept. She also submitted my manuscript to Vinspire Publishing. I think the editor there is on medical leave until October. It seems many of the big publishers are closed to Amish fiction or are in my case since I have self-published my Amish books. I am considered a debut author which is hard for me to wrap my head around since I started writing Amish in 2012. When I signed in 2019, I had high hopes for my writing career. I still hope to hear great news soon because when the holiday season hits, everything seems to close for submissions. I want to get a contract this fall before this happens.
