Blurb:
Her future with Caleb seems bright—until the startling truth about her birth changes everything.
Sophie Weaver has never quite fit the family portrait. Her coal-black hair, vivid blue eyes, and naturally darker skin set her apart from her Amish parents and sister, but she finds peace in tending herbs and vegetables. When a lively volleyball game brings Caleb Lapp into her life, he is drawn to her gentle spirit and her love of growing things, and soon invites her to Lapps Lemon Orchard, his family’s thriving fruit farm.
As Sophie’s friendship with Caleb begins to bloom, her parents reveal a life-changing secret: she was adopted. Her biological father was Cherokee, and he loved Ainsley Harrington, a senator’s daughter whose pregnancy threatened her father’s reelection campaign. After Sophie’s father dies in a motorcycle accident, Ainsley’s parents insist on a secret adoption. Heartbroken, young Ainsley is moved by the sound of an Amish woman crying in the hospital where they both gave birth and chooses her to raise her baby. Now Ainsley has returned with an urgent plea—she needs Sophie’s help to save her life.
Will Sophie undergo surgery to save the birth mother she has just found—and will Caleb stand by her choice?

My book, Love in Florida Amish Country, comes out on November 1, 2027. Each month will feature a book set in a different state. I chose Florida after my husband immediately suggested it when I asked which state to write about. Our daughter also lives in the Sunshine State, so I thought I could visit Sarasota to see where the Amish live. I picked November to allow more time to write. With so many distractions in the Craver family, writing can be challenging—but it’s a challenge I love!
