The Vinspire authors received a shock on October 23rd when the publisher sent us a group email about closing after 20 years in business. None of the authors saw this happening. I had a five-year book contract.
I was fortunate to have my series published but I probably wouldn't have paid money to do a Book Launch for my third book, A Journey for Amy.It was released on September 24th. I paid money for an author assistant because I am not technical enough to do the graphics that other book launch teams to do for their members. I had a great time doing the book launch with my members. They made it fun! I'm hoping I can get the reviews transferred to my self-published books.
I paid $75 to the formatter to remove the Vinspire references in my 3 books. I paid $45 to the cover designer to remove the Vinspire logo on the spine and back cover of my 3 books. Other authors had been with Vinspire for many years and have a lot of books to pay for these changes. That is, if they decide to self-publish. It they try to get a new publisher, then they can't use the Vinspire files and covers. If I bought new covers and paid for new formatting, it would cost more. When I received the Vinspire contract, my one daughter and husband told me to self-publish instead, but I was excited my agent got me this contract.
I am in the process of changing all my links to my new ones. I have uploaded the files and covers for ebooks on the sites. I can't do the paperbacks yet because they are still for sale by Vinspire.
It is sad but maybe it will turn out okay for me. I already have my other books self-published. I was with several other publishers in the past, but I made the decision to leave them. Dawn, the publisher, had the book release schedule for 2025 done a few months ago, so I know she wasn't expecting to close at this time.
I am uploading my paperbacks soon. I need to wait until they are removed from Amazon. I am thankful that I got my reviews transferred from my print books to my ebooks now.

A touching Amish tale!

I have enjoyed following the triplets journey, and I was eager to read Amy’s story. Amy is an EMT (and she is Amish) with a thirst for knowledge. She finds herself torn between the Amish world where she was raised and English world into which she was born. Her situation is further complicated when she falls in love with a Catholic. I could feel Amy’s struggle and the pressure she was under. Amy prays for guidance, so she will know the right path for her. I thought faith was nicely woven into the story. It was great to catch up with Amy’s sisters and their families as well as the parents and grandparents. It is wonderful how the two families (Amish and English) have come together. Amy is fortunate to have a loving family who will support her decisions. I loved the references to Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes). While A Journey for Amy is the third book in the Amish Adoption series, it can be read as a standalone. The author provides the background information needed for new readers. A Journey for Amy is an emotional tale with a thoughtful family, EMT trips, classes in Columbus, a fetching boyfriend, a troubling loss, close sisters, a disquieting decision, and God’s guidance.

I'm thankful for my book friends and their amazing support! I told my husband this morning that it's too bad he doesn't like to read. He and other relatives don't read my books. I wish my books would be made into movies - then maybe they'd watch the movies!

I just finished reading The Amish Mother's Secret by Diane Craver. This is the first book in her Amish Adoption Series. The Amish Mother's Secret is a heartwarming story about an Amish mom, an English mom, love and forgiveness. You will fall in love with characters Lindsay, Harris, Katie, Roman, Phoebe, Amy, Jenna and Seth. This story will hold your attention from the very first chapter! Once you start reading, you won't be able to put the book down! There were many scenes in this story that were totally surprising and unexpected! Wait until you find out the secret that Lindsay and Katie have been hiding for years! You will definitely be surprised! I know that I was! I highly recommend that you read this book! I know you won't be disappointed! I can't wait to read the next two books in this series!

Three special events this week! Two daughters have birthdays. Emily's is today and tomorrow is Christina's. My book was supposed to release on December 27th but my publisher moved it up when I got it done earlier than I thought I would.

I laughed, I cried, I mourned and then celebrated as this story came full circle. What a wonderful way to end a trilogy of triplets and share in each of their stories.
We end with Amy the EMT who is being pulled in two different directions. Should she remain Amish as she was raised or become English as this is the world she was born into?
I highly recommend you read the final book to get the completed story and see which road Amy will take.

A Journey for Amy is like a family reunion except this one is with characters that became like family in Craver’s Amish Adoption series. Amy’s story is filled with realistic life situations for her by being adopted into an Amish family along with her twin, instead of being raised with her English mother as a set of triplets. It was a pure delight to catch up with Amy, Jenna and Phoebe along with their extended families, in both the Amish and English world, their career choices, and religious beliefs they were raised in.
Amy being an EMT is fulfilling to her but she wondered what her life would have been if only she hadn’t been adopted. However, she made the best the situation by choosing to pray and seek what God truly wanted her to do with her life and future instead of what her Amish or biological parents wanted. This tale was a magnificent, superb read that is filled with true life struggles in discovering God’s will for oneself. The story has a gentle faith message, finding forgiveness and peace with current and past choices, along with romance. Add in all the wonderful family members with their struggles, joys, and love growing for everyone made this story shine.

I’ve always said that as reader’s of Amish fiction we are blessed with so many wonderful authors to choose from. I love finding new authors to add to my “favorite authors” list! I just started reading Her Amish Mother’s Secret by Diane Craver. This is the first book in her Amish Adoption Series. This is also the first book I have ever read by Diane Craver. I’m about half way through the book and I can honestly say that I can’t stop reading it! It is SO GOOD! I love the characters and the story line! I’ve read many Amish books and I have never read a story like this. Diane Craver, you definitely have become one of my “favorite authors”! I know when I finish reading this book that I will want to read the rest of the books in this series! If you love reading Amish fiction, you are going to love reading this book!

Here's a verse of the week from October 2011 written by Martha Rogers.“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.” John 14:1 NIV
In verse twenty-seven of this same chapter, Jesus adds not to be afraid. So many things trouble our hearts when life is not going the way it should. Jesus is telling us to trust in God and in Him as they are the same. Even though we can’t see Him, we know the Lord is there, but putting all our trust in Him is not always easy.
Not trusting Jesus leads to our troubled hearts to become doubting hearts. Our hearts reflect who we are and if we trust in Him who saved us, our hearts will be quieted and the troubled waters calmed. Jesus never promised that we would not have trouble, but He did promise to be with us in all trials and temptations. Our troubled heart can become a trusting heart when we believe and rest in His promises.
He gives us peace when our trust is anchored in His love and grace. Our tears, our heartaches, our troubles are all stepping stones to the glories He has prepared for us as we travel this road of life. Potholes, detours, construction, and poor conditions all make that road rough and difficult to maneuver. With our Lord at the helm, we can travel the road with the assurance He will take us safely through.
We can trust in God in the present because our future is secure. Our present reality is replaced by our future hope in eternal life. That does not mean the troubles will magically disappear although that is possible with God, but it means He will not forsake us in the midst and will stay with us to the end.
Putting our trust completely in him can calm our hearts, relieve our fears, and increase our courage. Without complete trust we will have little joy and hope. Trusting in Him will bring joy and peace of mind as well as untroubled hearts.
Heavenly Father: We put our trust in You completely today. Guide us on our road of life and give us the strength and courage we need to face any trials and troubles that greet us this day and all through the week.

I loved Rachel’s Ransom by Samantha Fury and couldn’t stop reading it. I was invested in the storyline instantly. Rachel Lawson and Maxell Caufield are wonderful characters that are portrayed so well by Samantha that I felt like I knew them. Rachel is a mail-order bride going a long distance to meet her future husband, John Caufield. However, John sends his brother, Maxwell, to make the long trip to escort Rachel. He thinks Maxwell is stronger and will be better at keeping Rachel safe while traveling. There is a lot of action when Rachel is taken hostage by the train robbers. This book has everything with romance, action, villains, and wonderful Bible verses. Maxwell can’t believe pretty Rachel wants to marry his brother. Should he share things about John that might cause Rachel to change her mind about marrying his brother? As Maxwell struggles with what he did in the Civil War as a soldier, Rachel reminds him to turn to God. She has spunk and never gives up on sharing her faith with the doubtful Maxwell.
I highly recommend Rachel’s Ransom: The Reclusive Man and I look forward to reading the next book in this wonderful series by Samantha Fury.
