I had my IV infusion this past Wednesday at the treatment center for my 2 year maintenance therapy. I haven't felt great since it but doing okay. My white blood count is still way too low. I do have great news about my recent CT scan - it was good and showed no recurrent lymphoma. Woohoo! I have next CT scan in 6 months and next IV infusion treatment in October. As usual, I was dizzy but this time I start falling but I grabbed a divider shield in front of desk when I checked out. I'm glad I didn't break it. But I got to ride in a wheelchair after this happened to our car. Tom pulled up right away to the door. Such service. :)
Something interesting was said to me by the technician while I had the CT scan. I had a mask on so she only saw my forehead and she asked me if I had Indian blood. She mentioned that her mother had Cherokee in her background. Apparently, my forehead reminded her of her mother's. People have asked me in the past if I have Native American blood. I don't know of any.
This summer we had our eight-year-old grandson Dillon during the daytime on Tuesday-Friday every other week. Grandpa did a lot of things with Dillon. They went fishing, played cards, checkers and some times they played with the train set in our basement. I enjoyed having him here too.
Last week, our other grandson Dean was here one night to sleep in a tent with Dillon in our woods. We sat around the fire pit and had grilled hot dogs and pasta salad. The boys and Grandpa ended up coming to the house to sleep. The next day, I playing hide and seek with the boys and it was a blast.
On Thursday, Dillon realized it was his last day of summer to be with us because our son Bart had planned to take Friday off. Usually Dillon would have been here on Friday. He seemed sad and was wondering if he wouldn't see us until the holidays. f I told him we would see him before the holidays!
Sara turned 44 last Tuesday and Bart was 36 two weeks ago.
I'm sharing pictures from our days of tubing, fishing, and cookout! The summer went by so quickly.

Tom and I celebrated our anniversary earlier in the week. Sara and Amanda had a summer respite for 4 days so it was the perfect time for us to get away. We went to Murphin Ridge Inn in Adams County for a couple of nights. The photo was taken by our server at the restaurant where we ate dinner outside. The tables were far apart and there were never many eating at one time. In this rural and Amish area, there are fewer cases of COVID-19. It wasn't our first choice but felt it was the safest place to go.
Our cabin was lovely and we received a huge surprise while there. We returned to our cabin after spending time at the pool and we were shocked to see a bucket with champagne, two glasses filled with chocolate kisses, fruit, crackers and cheese plates, chocolate covered strawberries, and a cake. The inn had forgotten to include a card but we learned it was from our daughters, April and Christina. Underneath the goodies was a gas fireplace. We realized that it didn't put out any heat so had it on in the evenings. Very romantic!

I enjoy Amish books, there is a purity about them. Although their lives are so different from the English, their trials and temptations are much the same. However as they continue to reach out to God for answers , God responds. It's a good reminder for us to continually lay out burdens before the Lord, so He can give us guidance.

On Wednesday, I went to OHC for my 5th maintenance treatment. It was wonderful that the nurse found a good vein to use for the IV infusion. My WBC is lower than it was in April. I saw my oncologist this visit and he asked me if I had any new lumps. I told him that I didn't.
I'll have a CT scan in August before my next treatment.
Tom and I have been being careful and wearing masks when we go to the stores and church. We are thankful that no one in our family has the coronavirus.

This is such a great book and series. I really came to love all of the characters.

I really enjoyed this book. Diane Craver's casual and engaging style brought the characters to life. She did a wonderful job of capturing the beautiful, and sometimes touchy, relationship between sisters. The romance was heartfelt, and I was especially happy in the end when Whitney chose the guy I hoped she would.
Great job, Diane!
I definitely recommend, Whitney in Charge. It's an entertaining read that will leave you in a good mood.

who would not love this guy for marrying Mallory, I love a good love story. Yea I know it was a typical boo woo one but sometimes it is just that reason we need to shed a few tears over the love we lost or the love we wish we had or maybe the lack of romance in our lives or whatever you need to relax and enjoy a easy read.
