Blurb for A Journey for Amy
Amy Yoder feels pressure from her adoptive parents, friend Rose, and Bishop Elmer to join the Amish church. After all, she’s past the age when most make a commitment to be baptized and follow the Ordnung. Pregnant Rose fears dying from breast cancer at a young age. She has the same BRCA mutation her mother and grandmother had and they died from cancer. She tells Amy to take the baptism instructions in case something fatal happens to her. She explains that Amy can marry David and the baby will be raised in an Amish home. Amy doesn’t want to marry Rose’s husband, David, and wishes Rose would stop thinking about dying.
When Jonas is born, Amy falls in love with the adorable baby and visits frequently. Rose suggests again that if anything happens to her, she wants Amy to be his mother, but only if she is Amish. A recent buggy accident killed the parents and their three children, so Rose worries that could happen to her and David.
How can Amy consider taking the baptism instructions when she loves Joe Barrett, a Catholic man and a paramedic? She won’t be able to continue to see Joe if she decides to join the Amish church. Will Joe give up his Catholic faith to become Amish for her? Does she want him to leave his faith that is important to him? With mounting pressure to take the baptism instructions, Amy decides to move out of her parents’ home to an apartment. Maybe here she can decide what to do about her spiritual life and will feel free to invite Joe to her apartment without the disapproval of her Amish parents. As the feelings between Amy and Joe grow deeper, can they overcome their dissimilar faiths, or will their differences pull them apart?

Samantha Price wrapped up her Amish Bonnet Sisters Series so well. She included all Wilma's children and gave them endings they all deserved to have. I fell in love with all the characters from the first book and enjoyed each book in the series. Samantha is a gifted storyteller and I look forward to reading book 1, "Outcast" from her "Shunned by the Amish Series."

Amish Baby Snatched is the first book in The Bishop’s Daughters series by Diane Craver.
This is a very interesting book. Quite different from most Amish fiction books that you read. The story Centers surround two young women. One Amish and one English. Both are pregnant. The English lady is only 18 and pregnant by her boyfriend who left her to backpack in Europe. The second young woman is Amish married, and also pregnant. A friendship develops When both girls meet at the doctors office for their visits.
As you read this story, you see how Beth and Chloe become friends and watch as their lives intertwine between their Amish and English worlds.
The characters are realistic and well developed. The plot is quite interesting and keeps you turning the pages. The ending is a total surprise and Ms. Craver keeps us wanting more.
