Because I write Amish fiction, it’s nice that an Amish man built my new bathroom vanities. He lives in Hillsboro, OH. The Amish celebrate a "Second Christmas" on December 26th, following the main Christmas Day, to gather with in-laws and friends. The Amish have large families so need two days to spend with family. He was delayed getting the vanity finished for master bathroom because of Christmas and the fact I wanted it painted. My contractor finished the hall bathroom last Friday and that was great. Sara and Amanda didn’t need to use our master any longer. He wanted us to have one working bathroom, and he started on the master bathroom first. I went with only wood in the hall bath. I’m pleased with the contractor’s remodeling of the showers too. I have Amish characters building furniture in my Dreams of Plain Daughters Series.
