Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2024A Journey for Amy by Diane Craver is the final heartwarming tale in the Amish Adoption series. I have enjoyed following the triplets journey, and I was eager to read Amy’s story. Amy is an EMT (and she is Amish) with a thirst for knowledge. She finds herself torn between the Amish world where she was raised and English world into which she was born. Her situation is further complicated when she falls in love with a Catholic. I could feel Amy’s struggle and the pressure she was under. Amy prays for guidance, so she will know the right path for her. I thought faith was nicely woven into the story. It was great to catch up with Amy’s sisters and their families as well as the parents and grandparents. It is wonderful how the two families (Amish and English) have come together. Amy is fortunate to have a loving family who will support her decisions. I loved the references to Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes). While A Journey for Amy is the third book in the Amish Adoption series, it can be read as a standalone. The author provides the background information needed for new readers. A Journey for Amy is an emotional tale with a thoughtful family, EMT trips, classes in Columbus, a fetching boyfriend, a troubling loss, close sisters, a disquieting decision, and God’s guidance.
