Happy October, everyone! I can't believe it is already October with much cooler temperatures at night here in southwestern Ohio.
I saw a new review today for book 2 in my Dreams of Plain Daughters Series. Thank you to reader/reviewer, James Hall, for taking time to post it on Amazon! Good Read “Enjoyed reading this book because the characters had flaws in their lives that they had to deal with. It shows how people can have different beliefs, but can still love one another and help each other.” Click here to buy a copy! Jan, a reviewer on Amazon, shares why she enjoys reading Amazon fiction. I've heard other readers give the same reasons why they love Amish reads.
Here is her review for A JOYFUL BREAK, Book 1 in my Dreams of Plain Daughters Series: 5 stars - A VERY ENJOYABLE STORY I enjoy Amish books, there is a purity about them. Although their lives are so different from the English, their trials and temptations are much the same. However as they continue to reach out to God for answers , God responds. It's a good reminder for us to continually lay out burdens before the Lord, so He can give us guidance. Available on Amazon and other sites. Here is the Amazon link! 5.0 out of 5 stars Love this story
Reviewed in the United States Verified Purchase This is such a great book and series. I really came to love all of the characters. Diane Craver's stories have such great depth to them. She's become a favorite author. K. Hardie. Purchase on Amazon B & N Kobo Apple Hope everyone is staying well during this time. It's been interesting in the Craver household. Three adult daughters live with us. One daughter was planning on moving out by now, but didn't get to start her job yet with the COVID-19. Other two attend an adult camp and it is closed. I also have a retired husband who can't go to his activities that he enjoys. It's hard to write with so much going on here. I'm going to start getting up earlier in the morning and writing.
Here is a new review for my Christmas of Hope: book Sweet story and a quick read. This is the fourth book in The Bishops Daughter series. This series would probably be better read in order. Most of the characters were probably introduced in previous books. I could still follow what was going on but I felt like I missed the flow of the book. It was still a good story. Buy link for Amazon! I loved writing Priscilla's Escape, Book 3 in The Bishop's Daughters Series! I also enjoyed sharing the bishop's secret. If you haven't read it, I hope you'll buy the ebook copy for 99 cents. The last day to get it at the discounted price is March 20th! Debbie's Review for PRISCILLA'S ESCAPE This is a charming Amish romance. I love both Priscilla and Stephen. They are extremely believable. They have very normal questions about their faith and how God wants them to live their lives. I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that they started by developing a friendship based on common interests and an ease in talking things over with each other. The way that Priscilla’s family came together to discuss the situation when she left home was fantastic. That was a remarkable example of a close knit family working together when faced with difficulty. There were a number of times that things that happened prior to the beginning of this book were discussed. I felt that many of them may have taken place in previous books about the King family. This is the first book that I’ve read by this author. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am giving it a rating of 5 stars. I am highly recommending it. I will be reading more of her books. ***** 5 stars A Touching Story to Bring Answers! Reviewed by Marilyn R. A Joyful Break is a beautiful story surrounding Amish and Englischer characters. I was drawn into this book from the beginning, even though I had read later books in this series. Rachel was realistic in how she felt after losing her mother and harboring feelings against her dad about not having a phone shanty. Going to the beach with her Aunt Carrie and cousins was a perfect break from her caring for her dad and siblings. Rachel gained more insight into matters and realized her heart truly was with her loved ones and Samuel. Will a picture cause issues when she returned to Fields Corner. I appreciate Craver weaving the lives of the Amish and Englischer in her books with them being related. I look forward to reading more books by Diane Craver as they become available. This was a direct purchase from Amazon for the kindle version. A review was not required but I have expressed my own thoughts. Purchase from these sites: Amazon Barnes and Nook Apple Kobo Our daughter, Sara, is very noisy at night and keeps me up. Last night was not any different. She made bizarre noises until at least midnight. It's hard because we get up at 6:30 and the days I babysit for grandchildren, I get up at 5 a.m. Seeing this wonderful review early this morning is just what I needed especially after all the edits I have been making for The Amish Mother's Secret (my title was Her Mother's Deception.)
5 stars Very Good Story This is the second time I read this book and enjoyed it both times The characters are very real and the twins bring a little levity. Amazon My husband and I have been ill so nice to read a new review for my Book Two in my Dreams of Plain Daughters Series! I'm always thankful for reviews!
Sweet Love Story - 5 Stars This sweet romance between an Amish couple is informative as well as entertaining. While learning more about Amish customs, I also learned more about my own beliefs as I pondered the difficulties that challenged these young people. 5 stars Excellent series "Diane has created two wonderful series, featuring new and old friends. As the family grows, spreads it’s wings, but remains true to their Amish faith and traditions, despite temptations, heartache and tragedy. I would recommend reading both series in order to keep the flow of the whole story going in the right direction." ~~~ Priscilla's Escape is available to buy on these online stores: (in print and ebook) Amazon B & N Kobo Apple! |
