Eastern European or American Indian?
I should be writing but missed posting yesterday. On my day off, Tom and I went out for a yummy breakfast at a cute restaurant with a 50’s theme. The waitresses wore poodle skirts, and we enjoyed all the neat stuff they displayed from this time period. I remember my older sister Carolyn wearing poodle skirts when she was in high school. We also looked at hot tubs and furniture. I’m hoping to get a hot tub after we build our house. We could use new furniture, too, but we just heard that lumber prices have increased a lot so won’t be getting new furniture until we see how much it costs us to build our new house. I’m worried that we won’t sell our house in this market.
Anyhow at work on Thursday a scorer asked me during a break something that I’ve been asked before, and it’s something that I have wondered at times about too. She wanted to know about my ethic background because of my cheekbones and nose. She was curious if my ancestors were from a country in Eastern Europe or if I was an American Indian. I have been asked about being a Native American Indian before but not about from a country in Eastern Europe. My mother’s relatives were mostly Dutch and my father’s were a mixture of French and English. By the way, I’m not good at many things, but I seem to have a knack for scoring. My team leader showed me the stats and I scored over 9,000 tests during this project. No one else scored this many of the 4 pointers. I think I should get a bonus.
I came home on Wednesday and saw a beautiful bouquet of roses and other flowers on the table. Tom had bought me the flowers. It wasn’t any special day so it meant a lot that he did. I guess romance is still alive at age 60.
Have a great weekend! I better get busy on writing or I won’t have anything to pitch to the HQ editor in June at Lori Foster’s event.

Congrats on the scoring. Must feel good.
good luck with the writing! I’m itching to get more done but I’ve been feeling so lousy lately. All I want to do is nap.

Maybe you need a break - you work so hard all the time. Take care, Ceri!
