A Fiery Secret Contest for February!
CONTEST ENDS: February 28th!
PRIZE: A signed copy of A FIERY SECRET
To be entered, just leave a comment here on any February post!
If the winner lives outside of United States or Canada, I’ll substitute a download of A FIERY SECRET instead of the signed print copy! Also if the winner already has purchased my mystery, I’ll substitute another one of my Samhain print books.
Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a terrific weekend. Ours was pretty boring - nothing exciting except Amanda had fun going to her first professional hockey game in Cincinnati. Her sisters, Christina and April, took her. I learned a bit more about various publishers. Today we are going to visit a model home built by Schumacher Builders. I guess we are going to build a ranch. I was hoping we’d find a house for sale that we both liked at the right price.
I’m posting my trailer here for my chick-lit mystery, A FIERY SECRET. If you get a chance and like it, please vote for it here today or the next two days. I never submitted it to YouGottaReadvideos.blogspot.com/ when it was first made by Allie Boniface, and I decided it’d be fun to do it now during my contest month. The voting poll is on the right side and A Fiery Secret is # 8 entry. You don’t have to sign in to vote - it’s the same place that my book video, MARRYING MALLORY, got 3rd place last month. Thanks ahead.
A BLURB OF A FIERY SECRET:
An old boyfriend wants reporter Catherine Steel’s love but someone else wants her dead when she learns the explosive truth behind a murder.
Catherine Steel is an investigative reporter for a newspaper in Ohio. To supplement her income so that she can buy clothes for herself and gifts for her small godchild, she writes fluff pieces for women’s magazines. Two recent articles are: “What To Wear to Get Noticed” and “Catherine’s Ten Simple Dating Rules.” When Jake Michaels fills a sports editor’s spot on the paper, Catherine wonders if he is man enough to fulfill her fantasy. And does she want him to be the one?
After all, he broke her heart ten years ago in high school when he failed to show up for their prom date. And now that he’s back in town, he wants to date her. Catherine refuses to go out with him but he keeps asking. Should she give Jake another chance?
When it appears the beloved high school janitor, Max, was murdered, Catherine is determined to learn the truth about his death. Catherine’s list of suspects for Max’s death include: the school secretary with her intense dislike of Max, the charismatic mayor, the mayor’s unbalanced girlfriend, the angry school principal, and a strange math teacher.

I watched the trailer and voted. I’m so glad I live in the south. Our Sunday was sunny and warm for this time of year. I sat outside and read yesterday afternoon.

I don’t know that my TBR mountain will take another book without causing an avalanche but I’m willing to read my way out! But I have GOT to stop reading book blurbs and lusting after new books! It’s so not fair that my demand for either a moritorium on publishing books I’d want to read or locking me away with nothing but my TBR books for at least a year has been so completely ignored. And that I just bought a gazillion used books on ebay this morning is simply further proof that I can’t be left to my own devices at 3:30 in the morning…
Please don’t put out anymore temptation! Even the trailer was torture…I almost went from it to amazon instead of voting!

please add my name for the Feb. contest. I love books. A ‘no-show prom date’ sounds like a great read.
