Snow Day
No one had school around here this morning. Even some colleges were closed. Amanda was pretty sad because she loves going to school. We have 4 inches of snow presently, but now we have sleet and freezing rain until 4 a.m. Then it changes to snow again and should have another additional 6 inches of snow by tomorrow. I told Amanda she has plenty of time to study her spelling words and do her homework. She has some board games we can play, too.
Amanda’s school just called and they already cancelled for tomorrow. I’m glad because they called this morning at 4:30. We have an automatic phone system that calls when there are any school announcements. My daughter’s college called her at 5:00 a.m. for the same reason and she didn’t even have any classes today.
I took a picture this morning. We have the nicest neighbor, Mr. Adams. He came over and used his plow to clear our driveway. He always does the driveways for us and our other neighbors whenever we get lots of snow.
I did hear from the agent of The Knight Agency. She read my partial but decided to pass on my MARRYING MALLORY story. I’m going to submit it on my own to publishers and hopefully, will have terrific news to share soon. I decided not to try another agent. I’m anxious to have a new release.

MM will find a home! The right home.
We’re getting your storm tomorrow. The kids (except for Paige who adores school) will be delighted if school is cancelled. We’re expecting up to 14″. What a brutal winter!

WOW, I love the way your house look with the snow surrounding it.
Trust in your story and it will definitely find a home.

The picture is beautiful…I know that type of weather can be brutal (along with the heat bills!), but it makes a classic photo.
Sorry to hear about Mallory, but I know you will place it soon. You’re just too good of a writer for some pub not to grab it up.

Ceri, Dru, and Miss Mae,
Thank you for the support and vote of confidence about Mallory.

Sorry to hear about MM it is a great story and the right publisher is justing waiting for it to cross their desk.
We only received 2″ of snow, but the nice coating of ice is keeping the kids home. Of course, I could make it into work.
I wish I was at home with the kids, Emily called and she is throwing up. I should have stayed home, but with work so slow and them looking for ways to cut back I figured my presence is important. LOL

Hi Patty,
Sorry to hear that Emily’s ill. I hope she feels better soon. That’s rough you had to go to work when the kids are home.

Sorry about about the agent pass. I’m sure it will find a home, though.
All our snow is gone now. The rain washed it away.

Gorgeous picture! It’s been a crazy winter — it snowed here yesterday, all day and then as it got dark it RAINED. Not sleet, not freezing rain. RAIN. In January.
Oh well.
And, yep, MM will find a home — right where it’s meant to be.
