REVIEWS of NO GREATER LOSS:

This is a contemporary inspirational story about a woman faced with the loss of her husband and child. It takes place in a small town and contains some of the unique, quirky characters that are part of small town life.

No Greater Loss takes place fifteen years after Dr. Jennifer Hunter lost both her husband and sick child. She is a psychologist with a successful practice and a weekly talk radio show where she helps others deal with the issues in their lives. But despite the help she is able to give others, Jen is unable to help herself, to free herself from the guilt she carries.

Luke Brunsman is a building contractor who is determined to help Jennifer with her renovations. After his disappointing marriage and the death of his wife, Luke is looking for some companionship and a good friend. He is determined to show Jennifer that life, and God, can offer more than she could dream.

This was a wonderful story. The characters were real, showing both strengths and flaws. The attraction between them is undeniable and their struggle to hold to their values was admirable. I enjoyed the interaction between these characters and found myself charmed by the determined Luke.

The author addressed some very tough issues in this book, including the loss of a child, eating disorders and post-abortion syndrome. Diane Craver discusses these topics with detailed professionalism. In a beautiful and sensitive way, she crafts advice, help and caring for the wounded souls. A job well done!

The Romance Studio

“Ms. Diane Craver presents a fascinating story about a couple who have secrets needing to be revealed, a passion that needs to be explored, and an incredible ending that is not expected. The end result may be anticipated, but the myriad of circumstances which the couple encounter, together and alone, just adds to the incredibility of this couple finding each other. I heartedly recommend this book to anyone. Don’t allow the “inspirational” category to mark this off your list; there is plenty of loving interaction to hold your interest! This is definitely a keeper!”

Rating: 4 cups! “This is a wonderful inspirational tale that manages to get the message across without getting too sentimental. There is a very good romance here with elements of suspense. The characters are very real and the reader will get to know them well as the book progresses…The other characters are very well done and grow throughout the story. This one is definitely worth reading.”

I have so much on my mind these days that I really am enjoying my daily bike ride. It gives me a break from everything. Well, I miss on days when the weather isn’t cooperating or just don’t make the time to take a ride. I pray sometimes while I ride my bike or think about a story I want to start writing. I haven’t had time to start anything new yet.

I’ve been mailing out the new Whitney bookmarks and new pens. This is one of my least favorite things to do as an author. It takes time to get them ready to mail and to go to the Post Office. And I have noticed the higher rates! But at the same time, I’m thankful to have a new release and hope readers enjoy Whitney! I had fun writing about her! You’ll be able to learn about Whitney during my blog tour because I’m writing a character interview for one of the stops.

I have 15 blog posts to write for my tour. Actually I have one done and another one will be finished soon.

Don’t forget I’ll draw a lucky commenter on August 1st for an ebook of WHITNEY IN CHARGE.

I’ve spent hours trying to find a place to go for a vacation - either Ocean City or Outer Banks. We haven’t gone on a family vacation for some time, but just not sure where to stay at Outer Banks. I was going to book it for the Kitty Hawk area, but then read how the beach around Nags Head is one of the best beaches. Also a lot of the nicer places are booked that are reasonable rates. Maybe I should book a place for next summer. :)

We go to the movie sometimes on Tuesday because of the lower prices. I think we might see the second Museum one with Ben Stiller today.

Better get off here so I get my ride in before it gets hot.

Check this out - you’ll love it!

My daughter, Christina, sent me the link for this wedding entrance video. It is hilarious - I love it! I laughed so much when I watched it. I wonder if Bart and Lea will want to dance down the aisle (and the ushers and bridesmaids) for their wedding!

Let me know what you think.

lighnting-strikes-twice.jpg

I recently read Gail Delaney’s book, Lightning Strikes Twice. Click on the title to take you to the book’s buying page. It’s in ebook format and the cost is only $5.99!

BLURB:

Friendship — in the best of all worlds — can turn into the best kind of love. It sneaks up on you like a summer storm, and when lightning strikes, it can change your life forever.

Bella and Jesse faced their high school graduation with hope and happiness, looking forward to the life they wanted together. Until the malicious act of a twisted mind tears them apart.

Ten years of misunderstandings and deception kept them apart too long to hope for any kind of ‘happily ever after’. Or, so they both believe. Lightning hardly ever strikes twice, but when it does, it can burn… or it can fuse.

I loved Lightning Strikes Twice and couldn’t stop reading it. Gail Delaney is a gifted storyteller. The characters are larger than life with an incredible romantic storyline. Isabella and Jesse are best friends during school. When their friendship deepens into love, they can’t believe how wonderful life is. Something very tragic happens to force them to go their separate ways for years. It is heartbreaking to see them suffer apart. When they finally realize how a sick person was the root of their horrendous misunderstanding, they fight against evil to get back together.

Gail Delaney wrote a beautiful love story. Isabella and Jesse’s love for each other reminded me of other characters I loved in Judith McNaught’s book, Paradise. Meredith and Matt in Paradise also suffer greatly when a person wrongly manipulates their lives and tears them apart for eleven years. I’ve read McNaught’s Paradise more than once. Gail Delaney’s Lightning Strikes Twice is another unforgettable story to read again while absorbing the powerful emotions of two wonderful characters.
