patrickwarburtonjan07patrick-warburton

Patrick Warburton currently appears as macho married man Jeff Bingham in the CBS television program Rules of Engagement. He makes me laugh each time I watch this TV sitcom. Just something about the way he delivers his lines in a deep, booming voice and his large physique. :) You might remember him from Seinfeld when he played David Puddy. I never watched Seinfeld but he was Elaine’s indifferent boyfriend on the show in the 1990s. After that, he starred in the live action version of The Tick as the main role. However, the series was short-lived. He’s been in several movies. Warburton has put his voice to use for several animated films and TV programs.

Warburton’s Early Life

Warburton was born on November 14, 1964 in Paterson, New Jersey and grew up in Huntington Beach, California, moving there with his family when he was three years old. His father, John Warburton, is an orthopedic surgeon, and his mother, Barbara Lord (née Gratz), is an actress. He has three sisters, Mary, Lara, and Megan. Warburton attended Servite High School in Anaheim, California. He studied marine biology at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California, but dropped out to pursue modeling and acting.

Personal Life

Warburton has been married to Cathy Warburton since 1991; they have four children - the oldest named Talon. They live in Camarillo, California. According to the MySpace page his friend set up for him, he is Roman Catholic and a fan of the band Pearl Jam.

leap-year.jpg

We went last Tuesday and saw the movie, Leap Year. It was a cute movie and Amy Adams is great in it. I had never heard of Matthew Goode until I saw him in Leap Year. He’s a cutie.

GOODE’S BIO:

Born: April 3, 1978 in Exeter, Devon, England, United Kingdom

Goode is the youngest child of five siblings (he has a brother, two half brothers, and a half sister named Sally Meen from his mother’s other marriage). He grew up in the village of Clyst St. Mary in Devon with a geologist father and a nurse mother who was also an amateur theatre director. Goode studied at the University of Birmingham and London’s Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

Goode was known for his role as Mandy Moore’s romantic interest in the 2004 film Chasing Liberty. Beforehand, Goode had played the brother of Inspector Lynley in the BBC production Inspector Lynley Mysteries: A Suitable Vengeance and had parts in the TV-movie Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister and the Shakespeare play The Tempest. Standing the test of time is his whimsical take on Brooke Burgess in the BBC serial, He Knew He was Right.

Recent roles have included Charles Ryder in the 2008 film Brideshead Revisited, the role previously taken by Jeremy Irons in the hugely popular 1980s serial. In 2009, he played the character of Adrian Veidt in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, and also appeared in the drama A Single Man (2009) (based on the Christopher Isherwood novel). In 2010, he co-starred in the romantic-comedy Leap Year (2010). He’s done more but just listing a few of his acting accomplishments!

He is the face of Hackett, the English Gentleman’s outfitters.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MATTHEW GOODE FOR BEING DIANE’S HOTTIE OF THE WEEK!

Should I buy a lottery ticket?

I am excited - I have won 3 fantastic prizes recently. I never win stuff and by the way, I never buy lottery tickets but told my husband maybe I should. I’m having a lucky streak. I doubt I can get out to buy one though. We are going to get 9 or 10 inches of snow. The roads are already bad.

I visited Shawna’s great blog and won a heart necklace and earrings from Melanie Atkins. From hosting Linda Poitevin on my blog and having the most commenters, I won earrings and $10 GC. And now I just learned that I won an ebook copy of Celia Yeary’s TEXAS BLUE, from the Roses of Prose blog.

Brief Bio - Josh Hopkins

Birth Date: September 12, 1970 in Lexington, Kentucky

A tall (6′2″), dark-haired, blue-eyed actor, Josh Hopkins spent several years working on stage honing his craft before landing TV and film roles that have played off his good looks and versatility. The son of a former Republican Congressman, he was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, where he was a basketball star in high school.

Josh Hopkins got my attention when he was a doctor on “Private Practice”. He’s Courtney Cox’s neighbor, Grayson Ellis, this year on the new show “Cougar Town.”

Josh Hopkins’ first onscreen acting job was in 1995’s Parallel Sons when he was 25. He found steady work with roles in G.I. Jane and The Perfect Storm, but his real break came when he was cast on the show Ally McBeal in 2001. Hopkins’ successful TV run continued as he was cast as a regular on Pepper Dennis, and in reoccurring roles on the shortlived Vanished and with his Ally McBeal cast mate Calista Flockhart on Brothers & Sisters. He was then cast as one of the lead roles in the 2007 series Swingtown.

CONGRATULATIONS TO JOSH HOPKINS FOR BEING DIANE’S HOTTIE OF THE WEEK!

Hottie of the Month!

gere.jpgrichard.jpg

Since it’s my birthday month, I decided to choose Richard Gere for my hottie this month! I don’t seem to have time to post a hottie on a weekly basis, so Richard gets the honor for the whole month of November. :)

Richard Gere’s Bio

Born: 31 August 1949 (great year to be born)
Where: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
Awards: Won 1 Golden Globe
Height: 5′10″

Gere is a descendant of Mayflower Pilgrims Francis Eaton, John Billington, George Soule, Richard Warren, Degory Priest, William Brewster and Francis Cooke. Gere was the second of five children, having three sisters and a younger brother, all looked after by his housewife mother, Doris. His father, Homer, worked in insurance and, while Richard was still young, moved the family to a farmhouse outside Syracuse, New York. In North Syracuse, Homer would run his own agency.

Attending North Syracuse High School, Richard quickly proved to be multi-talented. Though not a jock, he was active in the gym, lacrosse and ski teams. He served on the school council, and also excelled on the piano, guitar, bass and trumpet. Clearly gifted musically, he even wrote music for High School productions.

Old school-friends have recalled that Richard was never on a mission to be popular, but was anyway. He hung around in jeans and Army surplus jackets, and dated only the brightest girls (even then he valued brains over looks).

Graduating from High School in 1967, he won a gymnastics scholarship and enrolled at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, majoring in philosophy. After only two years though, he won a place with the prestigious Provincetown Players, and spent the summer of ‘69 with them.

In 1980 his role in the film American Gigolo, established him as a leading man and a sex symbol. He went on to star in several hit films including An Officer and a Gentleman, Pretty Woman, Primal Fear, and Chicago, for which he won a Golden Globe Award as Best Actor, as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the Best Cast. He’s been in movies with Julia Roberts.

People magazine named Gere the “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1999.

In 2002, he married model and actress Carey Lowell. They have a son, Homer, who was born in 2000 and is named after Gere’s father.

CONGRATULATIONS TO RICHARD GERE FOR BEING DIANE’S HOTTIE OF THE MONTH!

On Friday, I’ll have news about a free cookbook! I voted yesterday and I am disappointed to say one of the issues I voted against has passed. I don’t want casinos in Ohio but now we will have gambling.

Personal life

Cooper was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in nearby Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. His mother, Gloria, is Italian-American, and his father, Charlie, is Irish-American. After graduating from Germantown Academy in 1993, Cooper attended Villanova University for his freshman year, then transferred to Georgetown University, from which he graduated with a B.A. in English in 1997. Later, he studied at the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University.

Career

He began his professional acting career on the television series Sex and the City in 1998. He also served as the host of Lonely Planet’s Treks in a Wild World in 2000, and made his film debut in Wet Hot American Summer in 2001, before landing his best-known role as Will Tippin in the successful television drama Alias. He returned twice to Alias as a guest star after leaving the show in 2003, and he also guest-starred on the short-lived TV series Miss Match in the same year.

He played the popular villain Sack Lodge in the hit comedy Wedding Crashers and appeared in the film Failure to Launch as a friend of Matthew McConaughey’s character. Cooper played the lead role in the Fox sitcom Kitchen Confidential, based on a memoir by chef Anthony Bourdain, which debuted in September 2005. However, Fox announced in late 2005 that the series was canceled because of low ratings.

In March 2006, Cooper starred in Three Days of Rain on Broadway with Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd at the Bernard B Jacobs Theater.

In 2007, Cooper starred in Season 5 of Nip/Tuck as Aidan Stone, a television star on the fictional show Hearts ‘N Scalpels in which Christian and Sean give their advice on “real” plastic surgeries in order to give credibility to the show and gain popularity for their new practice in Los Angeles. Cooper also starred in Yes Man with Jim Carrey.

On February 7, 2009, Cooper hosted Saturday Night Live with musical guest TV on the Radio. Cooper impersonated Christian Bale in a fake commercial for a DVD featuring celebrities yelling at movie crew members called, “No, Bruce! Let Me Finish! The Best of Celebrity Tirades.”

In 2009, Cooper starred in the film He’s Just Not That into You together with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Justin Long and Scarlett Johansson.

I saw Cooper in Yes Man and saw him in All About Steve starring Sandra Bullock when I went with my daughter Christina to a movie on her birthday.
